Cambridge, England Wrap-up + photos

Day trip, didn’t spend the night

Sites: We met Lance’s former missionary buddy Gareth Llwellyn while in London; he was living and working in the suburbs, though he’s originally from Wales. He took us to Cambridge in his car and the short, 45-minute or so drive through the country to get there was beautiful. There we snuck onto the Cambridge University grounds (per Llwellyn’s insistence) and also went on a canal boat ride (where we paddles the boat ourselves). I remember him treating us to meals and snacks and telling us it was his duty — it’s expensive to travel and as the host, he wanted to relieve some of that. One evening I remember the three of us sitting outside Buckingham Palace long after the sun had gone down, just talking and enjoying the moment.
